Who do we meet with and when?

We can meet with you directly, your appointed contact, or meet with no one and perform the inspection on our own. We can meet at a time convenient for you or perform the roof inspection on our own time.

How do we access the roof?

We can always bring the ladders necessary to access the roof unless the roof is higher than 38 ft. tall, in which case we would need you to provide roof accesss.

Have you or your tenant identified any leaks from inside?

It is always helpful to identify leaks by noticing the point where water is coming off the ceiling, sagging or bubbling insulation, puddles on the ground, or drop-ceiling tiles that are stained. We will map out the locations of these leaks relative to the roof on the outside for further investigation.

What’s involved in the roof inspection?

Problem Identification: We look for any and all problems, such as rust or surface deterioration, open seams, ponding water, improper drainage, improper leak repair materials or workmanship, and construction defects. We take pictures of all problems.  more on Problems

Roof Data Collection: Overview pictures, problem pictures, a detailed drawing with all dimensions and roof characteristics noted.

Solution Analysis: All the major problems are prioritized based on the severity and all possible solutions are identified, whether it be a minor leak repair, roof maintenane, an extensive waterproofing system, or one or more of our full protection coating system options.  more on Solutions

What takes place in the Customer Consultation?

We show or describe all problems and their prioritized severity to the customer and present our solution analysis and recommendations for the near future and distant future. We qualify the customer’s financial situation, financial control, and special needs. With the customer’s help we formulate the most appropriate set of work packages to be drawn up in a formal proposal and mailed to the customer within 1 week of inspection.  more on Proposal Development
